With a full a la carte menu in the restaurant, and famous wood-fired pizzas, The Beached Whale caters for both eat-in and takeaway diners. Enjoy a drink from our fully-stocked bar, and make sure you sample one of our delicious local Marlborough wines.
RESTAURANT
We pride ourselves on providing a laidback, local experience and a tasty, well-priced menu with all your favourites. Influenced by the origins of our chefs, our menu uses fresh, local seafood and produce from the wider Tasman area. Enjoy relaxing summer days and nights in our spacious outdoor dining area, and in winter, the cosy ambience of our roaring wood fire.
BAR
The Beached Whale is famous for our live music and fun atmosphere. We offer a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits and a bar snacks menu. We also have a pool table, 50” screens for live sports, and fun nights with special live performances.
FUNCTIONS
We have a very experienced team and can cater for every celebration and special occasion, large and small, from staff parties, birthdays and anniversaries to weddings. There is internal seating in the restaurant for up to 100 patrons and external undercover seating for an additional 40 patrons. The Beached Whale is part of Kaiteriteri Lodge, where your function guests can find comfortable, affordable accommodation.

The Beached Whale Restaurant & Bar is available for conferences, weddings and other celebrations, we also have a 100 bed accommodation attached to the restaurant and bar and can provide a full package where all your food beverage and accommodation needs are met.
